Want to wake up and feel like sunshine? Then you HAVE to try this smoothie! I had soo many carrots from our CSA and could not figure out what to do with them. Truthfully, I am not a huge carrot lover…but I can’t even tell they are in this smoothie! It is tangy, bright, and overall yummy from the combo of carrot, orange, ginger, and mango. Sure to delight your tastebuds.
I used to have smoothies (mostly green smoothies) every day for a good 3 years. Then I just stopped. Was tired of them. Couldn’t keep it up. Over the past few weeks though, I’ve been craving more smoothies in my life. Maybe I’m missing some key nutrient I can only find in smoothies? Who knows. But, I’ve started making them more often–three times already this week!
This recipe doesn’t have any greens in it–although I’m sure some spinach would be great–and it is very fruity and yummy. I hope you like it!
- 1 large carrot (or 5-6 baby carrots)
- 1 clementine
- 3 ts grated garlic
- 1/2 banana
- 1/4 c mango slices
- 3 strawberries
- 3 Tb coconut flakes
- 1 Tb flax seeds
- 1 1/2 c water
- Put everything in the blender.
- I got the banana, mango, and strawberries from a frozen mixed bag of tropical fruit which made this SUPER easy to make, since you just pour it all in and go.
