I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! We’re celebrating Easter with my family this weekend near Philadelphia. I absolutely LOVE the family tradition that we have–every year, my mom’s two high school friends and their families all get together for Easter. There are a total of 16 people (6 adults and 10 kids)…and since we got engaged, now 17 🙂 Philly Boathouses

We alternate houses every year. The other two families have remained steady in their Atlanta and Maryland homes, but my family is constantly moving. We had a fun run in Texas, then Kentucky, and now finally Pennsylvania. We took this opportunity to spend a fun day in Philly today.

We did more typical touristy things, including a duck boat tour. We did one of these probably 10 years ago and had an amazing time, so it was a fun throwback event. Felt a little nauseous all day from the boat fumes but that will pass with time.

Had a great meal at Farmicia before we went to the tour, and then wandered around the city for a while after the tour. We saw 4 couples who had just gotten married! Pretty cool. Including an Indian wedding–they had a beautiful white horse that the groom was riding, and had rented out the street and the groomsmen and bridesmaids and close family all danced. Very fun to watch.

They also watched the Big Short…I’ve been reading the book so I opted out of this one. I really want to finish the book before I watch the movie. Hopefully will finish it this week so I can see it.
